“You havve no right to speak to me like that.” The Seadweller scoffed at the Lowblood’s rude attempt to irritate him. “If you didn’t look like a fanthy french whore I wouldn’t.” Sollux chuckled, looking over his boney shoulder. “You’re funny Sol.” Eridan’s voice was suddenly very breathless. Sollux was (somehow) the very best to get a rile out of him; damn him! It made him think: Shall he consider their relationship standing yet again? Red? Black? Perhaps a fine shade of Carmine; somewhere in between.
My Moirail and I were speaking on a (headcanon) tradition, that I had mentioned in my last post. To Trolls, scars, and more-so those that symbolize strength and battle, are considered highly attractive to highbloods. It shows their survival and pain tolerance is very high; compared to lowbloods, which as you go down, have less and less tolerance for pain. Being a warlike race, and receiving scars are badges of honor—though, there is distinction between “male” scars and “female” scars. Male scars are strictly earned in combat, and Female scars are much more decorative, elaborate and beautiful designs. For example, Equius (with his constant need to punch/be punched by robots) would scar him and make him very “male” attractive, while, Eridan—being a bit of a wimp opts for female scars, which are far more fashionable; this makes him much more “female” attractive. To counteract this, Lowbloods use tattoos in the way Highbloods use Scarification to symbolize beauty. It hurts, but not mind-numbingly so, as the rituals for traditional scarification are quite long, drawn out, and painful. But, I ramble. Enjoy. :)
